Hoop Dreams follows two basketball prodigies from inner city Chicago as they chase their dream of making it to the NBA. It’s shot over 5 years - documenting two young boys as they become young men, and their families as they navigate triumph and struggle. A cutting examination of class, race, and education in america, and the physical and psychological tolls of the pro sports pipeline.
